The MAFC legal department said the veteran apostolic leader died peacefully, marking the end of a long life dedicated to religious service and church leadership.

Munodawafa assumed leadership of the Mugodhi Apostolic Faith Church in 2019 following the death of the church’s founder, Tadeau Mugodhi. Despite his advanced age, he remained a respected spiritual figure among followers, who regarded him as a symbol of continuity and faith.

The church announced that Munodawafa will be laid to rest on February 7 in Jani Village, Guru area, Masvingo Province.

His death comes shortly after the passing of another prominent Zimbabwean religious figure, African Apostolic Church founder Archbishop Ernest Paul Mwazha, who died peacefully at his home in Hatfield, Harare, at the age of 107.
