Dynamos FC chairman Vincent Chawonza says he remains confident that his administration will restore stability and success at the Harare giants despite mounting criticism following the team’s recent struggles.
Chawonza, who has been in office for about six weeks, has come under pressure from sections of the club’s supporters after Dynamos suffered a heavy 5–0 defeat to Scottland FC, a result that intensified scrutiny over the direction of the club.
The defeat has raised criticism among supporters about whether the leadership’s promises of reform and stability are beginning to translate into results on the pitch as the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League season approaches.
A Dynamos fan Patrick Madhuvu said the club’s leadership would need to ensure that the changes promised to supporters become visible both on and off the field.
“The leadership continues giving us false hope of change at Dynamos, but what we see on the ground is totally opposite from what the chairman says in interviews,” Madhuvu said after the defeat.

Despite the criticism, Chawonza has remained optimistic that his administration will deliver the transformation supporters expect from one of Zimbabwe’s most successful football clubs.
“We have cooked it, and we are still cooking it. Those with negative thoughts, it’s time to remain supportive,” Chawonza said.
He believes that rebuilding the club will take time but insists that his leadership is committed to bringing back stability and competitiveness to Dynamos.
Chawonza’s administration took office promising to usher in a new era for the Harare giants, and he maintains that the process of rebuilding the club is already underway.
While pressure continues to mount from supporters eager to see immediate improvement, the Dynamos chairman says patience and unity will be key as the club works toward reclaiming its place among Zimbabwean football’s top teams.
