
Cimas Health Group, in collaboration with UK-based SmileStar, has launched its second edition of free dental outreach in Matabeleland North. The initiative is part of Cimas' corporate social responsibility and coincides with World Oral Health Day on March 20.
The outreach aims to raise awareness about oral health and promote better dental care practices. Cimas Health Group's Head of Dental Clinics, Dr Allan Guru, said the team treated over 700 people in Victoria Falls during the first phase of the outreach.

"We've been offering a wide range of dental services, including consultations, extractions, dental cleanings, fillings, and gum treatment," Dr Guru said. "Tooth decay has been the most common condition treated, particularly among children."
Dr Mitesh Badiani, Founder of SmileStar, praised the partnership with Cimas Health Group and local partners. "The partnership was a huge success, treating over 700 patients and providing relief from pain and gum disease," he said.
The outreach will continue in Matobo, following stops in Victoria Falls and Hwange. Cimas and SmileStar aim to promote oral health awareness and provide essential dental care to communities in need.
