Despite having re-joined the Dynamos technical team as assistant coach, Murape Murape still remains an active member of the Real Betis family according to the Academy chairman Gerald Sibanda.
Sibanda made the remarks after welcoming another former DeMbare son, Naison Muchekela, into the growing football development institution to strengthen their technical team.
“Murape is still 100 percent part of the academy. He is still with us, we happily released him so that he is also able to pursue his career ambitions with Dynamos and obviously he will double the roles with Dynamos and Real Betis Academy,” he said.
Sibanda said their programmes at Real Betis Academy are done during the weekends hence Murape is able to balance the two.
“Unless anything else changes, maybe when the season starts and he is no longer able to join us during weekends but for now he has assured us that he is able to juggle between the two,” he said.
Sibanda added that the academy is very happy and ready to support Murape and ensure that he makes that relevant transition.
Coach Muchekela will join Betis as part of the technical team ahead of a big year of football development in Zimbabwe. A former Dynamos player, Muchekela has also worked at the Glamour Boys together with Gift Muzadzi as assistants to Tonderai Ndiraya.
