Mukuru Backs Zimbabwe Cricket's 2027 World Cup Dream

Zimbabwe Cricket's preparations for the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup have received a significant boost after Mukuru extended its sponsorship of the senior men's national team, providing financial stability as the country builds towards hosting one of cricket's biggest tournaments.

The renewed agreement, which runs until December 2027, will see Mukuru continue as the front-of-jersey sponsor of the Zimbabwe Senior Men's National Cricket Team across all international formats.

The extension ensures the partnership remains in place throughout Zimbabwe's preparations to co-host the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup with South Africa and Namibia.

The sponsorship renewal comes at a crucial time for Zimbabwe Cricket as it seeks to strengthen its national teams, grow the game and increase fan engagement ahead of the global showpiece.

Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director Givemore Makoni said the continued partnership would enable the organisation to keep investing in the development of the sport while preparing for the World Cup.

"We are delighted to extend our partnership with Mukuru, a proudly African brand that shares Zimbabwe Cricket's vision for growth, excellence and meaningful community impact," he said.

Makoni said the sponsorship was an important endorsement of Zimbabwe Cricket's ambitions.

"Their continued support comes at a defining moment for Zimbabwean cricket as we build towards hosting the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in 2027."

He said the renewed agreement would provide the confidence to continue strengthening the game.

"This renewed commitment gives us confidence to continue investing in the game, strengthening our national teams and creating memorable experiences for our supporters, while showcasing Zimbabwe on one of cricket's biggest stages."

The renewed sponsorship is also aimed at deepening Mukuru's long-term relationship with Zimbabwe through sport while connecting with cricket supporters across the country and in the diaspora.
