A headmaster at a school in Ward 22 of Buhera South Constituency whp is being accused stealing US$315 meant for Grade Seven examination fees, has asked for time to replace the funds.
Simon Magirigide of Usavi Primary School pleaded with parents during a stormy School Development Committee for a grace period time to pay back the money he misappropriated.
Magirigide allegedly overcharged candidates by US$9 per pupil with the intent of theft.
There are allegations that Magirigide has previously misappropriated US$3 000 and the SDC members say they will continue to raise the issue until responsible authorities act.
No comment could be obtained from the school head, SDC chairman and District Schools Inspector at the time of writing.
