A Wedza man from Chidenhe Village has been remanded in custody and advised to apply for bail at the High Court by Marondera magistrate, Ignatius Mhene.
Moses Munyoro, 21, appeared before the court yesterday facing allegations of raping an 11-year-old girl at knifepoint, on her way to school on January 23, 2023.
Prosecuting, Sharmaine Mwangira told the court that the girl was on her way to school when Munyoro dragged her into a hilly area while covering his face with a cloth.
The court also heard that the accused was dressed like a woman and he instructed the girl to undress herself, covering her mouth with a piece of cloth.
Munyoro then raped her until he heard voices.
The girl was found crying calling for help and the matter was reported to Wedza police.
