
Delta Beverages has expanded its lager portfolio with the launch of Zambezi MIST, a 4 percent ABV, 100 percent malt lager targeting consumers seeking a lighter beer option.
The new product was launched on Friday at Three Monkeys Garden in Greendale under the proposition “All Beer. All Easy.”
Delta Beverages Marketing Manager, Lager Beer, Kundayi Mawema, said Zambezi MIST was brewed entirely from malt and had a moderate 4 percent alcohol content.
The company is positioning the lager for social occasions such as braais, weekend outings, music festivals and sunset gatherings.

Zambezi MIST will be sold in cans and non-returnable bottles, with Delta planning a nationwide sampling and activation campaign to introduce the product to consumers.
Marketing executive Irimayi Muzorewa said the company would work to ensure consistent product availability as demand grows.
The launch featured music and entertainment, with smoke effects creating a mist-like atmosphere inspired by the spray associated with Victoria Falls.
Musician Worae, who features in the product’s advertising campaign, performed at the event, showcasing his percussion skills. Master of Ceremonies Miss Red also kept guests entertained during the launch.
Zambezi MIST joins Delta Beverages’ existing portfolio, which includes lager and traditional beers, Coca-Cola franchised soft drinks and other beverages.
The company is banking on the established Zambezi brand to give the new lager a foothold in the market as it seeks to broaden its product offering.
