President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed Dr Leslie Ncube as the new Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Gender Commission, with immediate effect.
The appointment was announced by Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Martin Rushwaya in a statement issued on Friday.

According to Rushwaya, Mnangagwa made the appointment in terms of Section 245(1)(a) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
“His Excellency the President, Cde Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has, in terms of Section 245(1)(a) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, appointed Dr. Leslie Ncube as the Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Gender Commission,” the statement said.
“The appointment is with immediate effect.”
