Ngadziore takes personal interest in case of smoking schoolgirl

Malbereign Ward 16 Councillor Denford Ngadziore he will personally assist the police in the investigation into the case of a man captured on video sharing a smoke with a Mabelreign Girls High learner.

Ngadziore said the man was picked up by Mabelreign police this Tuesday for questioning after public outcry when video went viral on social media platforms.

“The matter is being handled by Harare Central ZRP Drug Section. I am closely monitoring the case and will advocate for a private prosecution through the assistance of local lawyers. Justice must be carried out to protect children from drug use,” Ngadziore said.

The suspect is expected to appear in court soon.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza said investigations are still underway.
