A Guruve-based fuel trader, Tarisai Muzota, the director for TB Fuels, has taken businesswoman and chairperson of Venergia Hydro which trades as DFI Group Zimbabwe, to court after she reportedly duped the former of US$45 000 in a fuel procurement deal.
The court heard that in November last year, Muzota was introduced to the accused by a truck driver, Tafadzwa Mhlanga.
Muzota engaged the woman in the procurement of 50 000 litres of diesel from Beira, Mozambique and move it to Zimbabwe.
He was charged US$45 000, with delivery expected in 48 hours.
Muzota was forced to file a report with the police after she failed to deliver the fuel.
