Local football fans are excited on the forthcoming Battle of Zimbabwe, which has been arranged during the pre-season.

Barbourfields Stadium will once again be reverberating to the tunes of Bosso and DeMbare as the two biggest football teams in the country lock horns.

The two teams are currently assembling squads which can challenge for the Premier league title, which has been evasive for years.

Fans who spoke to Zim Now Sports said they cannot wait for the big one.

“We are truly excited, we really can’t wait for the big one, you know that these teams bring some great entertainment,” said Tinashe Chakadza, a staunch Dynamos fan.

Petros Ndlovu, a Bosso fan, said that his team has been given another chance to showcase their dominance against DeMbare.

“Another chance to showcase our dominance against DeMbare, definitely we will win this one and we are going to enjoy.

“I also call upon other fans to be tolerant of each other as we enjoy the beautiful game,” Ndlovu said.

The match was confirmed by DeMbare Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Mashingaidze.

“We are playing Black Rhinos this weekend and next week, we travel to Bulawayo to play Highlanders,” Mashingaidze said.

Both teams are sponsored by Sakunda Holdings, which have given them a huge war chest to beef up their squads.

Dynamos has since made a mark in the market while Bosso prefers to fish from their pool of juniors.
