A violent storm swept across Beitbridge on Tuesday night, ripping off the roof of a CBZ Bank branch housed at the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Company Pension Fund Complex.
The storm felled several trees at the Beitbridge District Hospital, plunging the whole border town into darkness as electricity poles also collapsed in the process.
Water supplies in the border town had been cut following power cuts to water pumps at the main supply station while reports of other damages were still coming in although no fatalities had been recorded.
