A Beitbridge woman, who allegedly supplies crystal meth to Masvingo drug dealers, appeared before magistrate Elizabeth Hanzi yesterday and was remanded in custody to March 17.
Monica Mambengu of Lutumba in Beitbridge was arrested last Friday as she disembarked from a vehicle near Flamboyant Hotel following a tip-off from the public.
She was reportedly found with 58.5g of the dangerous drug.
Mambengu is represented by Martin Mureri of Matutu Mureri Legal Practitioners.
Meanwhile, magistrate Rethagtcetsi Silaigwana has postponed bail hearing of alleged Masvingo drug dealer, Mary Chisi, popularly known as Mai Shantel, today.
The postponement was occasioned by the fact that the presiding magistrate, Elizabeth Hanzi could not attend court yesterday afternoon.
Chisi is represented by Omen Mafa of Mutendi, Mudisi and Shumba Legal Practitioners.
She was arrested by police on Thursday at her residence at House along Mushandike Drive, Majange around 9am after a tip-off from an anti-drugs organisation which preferred to remain anonymous.
Police recovered 19 grams of crystal meth in 42 sachets with a street value of US$300 from her bedroom.
Sources had however, initially said the crystal meth seized was said to be 420g.
