The Zimbabwe Republic Police in Mdlambuzi have arrested Coster Ndebele, 35, in connection with a case of murder which occurred on April 6, 2023 at Tshamahali Business Centre after an argument over an undisclosed issue during a drinking binge.

It is reported that Ndebele, together with Mthabisi Mlalazi, 20, and four others, took turns to attack to death the victim, Lameck Ndlovu, 29, with a sjambok, hammer and an okapi knife indiscriminately all over the body.

Police said investigations concerning the murder case are still underway.

In a different case, police arrested 44 people on the operation, “No to dangerous drugs and illicit substances,” bringing cumulative arrests to 4 767 as of April, 7 2023.

Meanwhile, 323 arrests were made on the operation on enforcement of route permits and time tables on Passenger Public Service Vehicles, bringing cumulative arrests to 14 786.
