An Eastview man who was part of the team that assaulted and left a man unconscious on a railway line for him to be run over by a train has appeared in court.
Steven Mwashuta, 35, appeared before the Harare the Magistrates' Courts charged with murder.
The State alleges that on October, 17, 2022, Langton Tandire who is now deceased was in the company of one Ian Musanhu and three others who are on remand.
For undisclosed reasons, all the others started to assault Tandire with button sticks, logs and later dumped him along the railway line.
They left him there motionless and he was run over by a train and died.
Mwashuta was ordered to apply for bail at the High Court because of the seriousness of his allegations.
He will appear in court on May, 4, 2023.
