Former Dynamos defender, Sylvester Appiah, has poured cold water on rumors that he cursed the team over unpaid salary.
In recent weeks, some media outlets reported that the defender had claimed that he was using black magic to curse the Glamour Boys.
“After the season (last year), we were in third position, they (Dynamos) gave everybody US$200. It’s the prize money, it’s the money that I have worked for. They (Dynamos) were just saying the house that we were staying in, we were six or so and they removed two and four were left,” The Herald quoted Appiah as saying.
“They are talking about some beds, televisions and fridges. I don’t know what they are talking about. But I told them that after the fifth game (of the season), they will see where they will be. If they like, they will give me my money or if they don’t like they must keep the money.”
However, the defender has come clean and wished his former club well.
“There was news circulating that I cursed my former club, which is not true, have been with Dynamos for three years, players come and go but the club remains there. I wish my former club all the best of luck,” Appiah told Zim Now Sports.
Appiah is currently in Ghana.
