A man who caused drama at Kuwadzana 2 shops after being found wearing a trousers he had stolen in the complainant's car has appeared in court
Boniface Takudzwa Makwezva, 32, of Kuwadzana 3, appeared before the Harare Magistrates' Courts charged with theft.
The State, through prosecutor Grace Mugocheke, alleges sometime in May 2023, Makwezva was picked up by the complainant at Kuwadzana 2 shops at around 0200 hours.
The complainant was driving a Toyota Aliion. The two went to Kuwadzana 3 shops and when they got there, the complainant had some things he wanted to take care of and as a result went out of the car leaving Makwezva alone.
Makwezva took advantage of the situation and stole US$35, a Khaki trousers and Gtel cell phone and disappeared.
On July 12, Makwezva was seen by the complainant at Kuwadzana 2 shops wearing the complainant's khaki trousers and he apprehended him.
Makwezva was ordered to pay ZWL$100 000 bail. He will appear in court on September 11 for his routine remand.
