A head-on-collision between a Nissan Caravan which was carrying 32 members of the African Apostolic Church and a Mercedes Benz carrying five passengers on board has resulted in the death of four people whilst injuring 33 others.
In a statement the police said the fatal accident took place yesterday at the 6 kilometres peg along Birchenough Bridge-Chipinge Road in which 33 others were injured.
The bodies of the victims were taken to Birchenough Bridge General Hospital mortuary for post mortem whilst the injured are admitted at the same hospital.
Meanwhile, the ZRP is appealing for information that might aid in the investigation of a hit and run road accident that killed a yet to be identified woman along Harare-Bulawayo Road near Umguza Bridge on August 9.
