National Handling Services has appointed a new board chair and two other appointments to replace the outgoing chair and three other board members.
Adv Godwin Nyengedza is now the chairman. Other new appointments are Mr. Allowance Sango and Mrs. Rumbidzai Kanhukamwe.
A statement from NHS indicates that the appointments are effective August 1.
The statement profiles Adv. Nyengedza Ias the managing partner of Hogwe Nyengedza Attorneys, a Harare commercial chancery law firm and a distinguished member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn; the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), as well as the International Bar Association.
Adv . Nyengedza holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Hons degree (University of Greenwich - UK), Post graduate diploma in Professional Legal Skills and Master of Laws (LLM) (City University - London) and is a PhD (Law) candidate.
“He has over 30 year’ experience in government and commerce both in Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom and has served on the boards of State, listed and private entities in Zimbabwe and abroad,” reads the statement.
Mrs. Kanhukamwe is a business woman with interests in protective clothing, corporate wear, promotional materials, bedding and linen and holds a Masters in Strategic Management from Chinhoyi University of Technology.
She is currently enrolled at the Durban University of Technology for a PhD in Business Administration.
Mr. Sango, who holds qualifications in social sciences and public management, has been with the civil service since 1990 and has headed numerous departments within the Ministry of Transport including Strategic Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Department, Air and Rail Department, Transport Management Department and Central Vehicle Registry.
He has served on various Boards, including Zimbabwe National Road Administration, Central Mechanical Engineering Department and the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare - 5th Disability.
Previous chairman Dr. Franklin D. Mukarakate has exited together with Mr. Douglas Khoza, Mr. Gedion Mukorombindo and Mr. Christopher Dube.
