A man who was arrested on Monday for making barbaric killings of street kids in the Harare CBD has been further detained in custody.

Thandolwenkosi Ndlovu, 20, appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi on murder allegations.

Ndlovu, also known as Sauro, was arrested in connection with five murder cases which took place in Central Business District from August 28 to September 4.

He is believed to been living in the streets and would target street kids sleeping, crushing their heads before cutting open their stomachs to remove genitals and other body parts using broken empty bottles.

He would then boil or braai the body parts on any open fire and consume them.

Ndlovu was against the submissions, claiming that he was not denying the allegations.

“I am opposed to the application, there is no need for us to do all that process since l am admitting to the allegations. I am not denying them,” he said.

On September 4, 2023, he was arrested after police detectives tracked him along Rotten Row Road, Harare after he allegedly tried to attack a street kid who did not bother to make a police report.
