Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has slammed the cheap Citizens Coalition for Change propaganda, adding that the Nelson Chamisa-led CCC members and supporters must learn to be practical and realistic.
This comes as a purported Zanu PF interim secretary general wrote to the speaker of Parliament, calling dozens of elected ruling party legislators. In a move meant to simulate Matabeleland North politician Sengezo Tshabangu who recalled 15 CCC MPs and 17 councillors, alleging they had ceased to be members of the CCC, an unknown Tafadzwa Manyika, who provides a foreign contact number, wrote to Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda, recalling 70 Zanu PF MPs.
“You guys keep feeding each other cheap propaganda for retweets and likes. Here is the truth that you need to know, not what you want to hear.
“What you propose won’t happen because Zanu PF has a known constitution and its leadership structure is known and it is a matter of public knowledge. Their secretary General is Obert Mpofu.
“CCC has no known leadership structure … When this was said as a warning last year, analysts were insulted, learn to be practical and realistic, and not feed each other cheap propaganda which will backfire,” writes Chin’ono on X.
In Tshabangu’s case, Mudenda went on to notify the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission of vacancies in the constituencies to which the CCC legislators had been elected.
