One of the men who were captured on car camera while apparently committing robbery in Southerton last Thursday has died from wounds sustained in a shootout with police.
Zimbabwe Republic Police has issued a statement saying Sam Mudzuri died on admission this past Saturday at after a shootout with a detective from the CID homicide in Chitungwiza.
Police said detectives from CID Homicide received information that Mudzuri was hiding at his lover’s house in Unit A, Chitungwiza.
When police tracked him down to his hiding place, the now deceased opened fire on the police before he got shot on the legs
Police have also said they are yet to arrest the other four suspects named as Paul Chinake alias Pauros, Lovejoy alias Shorty, Teddie and Betto.
