Agritex officer on the run after stealing presidential inputs.

An agricultural extension officer is on the run after stealing presidential inputs.

Mugove Matemera, who is an Agritex official stole the inputs, which were being distributed in the Saruwe farming area, comprising 26x50kg Compound D fertiliser, 8x50kg top dressing, 24x10kg maize seed and 7x10kg soya bean seed.

Police confirmed the incident on X wall.

“Police in Saruwe are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Mugove Matemera, who is being sought in connection with theft of presidential inputs which occurred at Railway 21, Selous on 01/11/23.”

The police have since recovered the stolen presidential inputs.
