Kazembe tours Dubai's modern policing facilities

 

Inside Dubai Smart Police Station 

Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Kazembe Kazembe recently toured Dubai policing facilities to appreciate the use of modern technology in policing.

The Emirates News Agency reports that the Zimbabwe delegation was welcomed by the director of Jebel Ali police station, Major Genral Dr. Adel Al Suwaidi, the chairman of the board of directors of police stations and a number of senior officers.

 Minister Kazembe and his entourage visited the Dubai Police General Headquarter and Dubai Smart Police Station at City Walk.

They were also introduced to the various services provided by the Dubai Smart Police Station in 7 languages around the clock and without human intervention.

These include27 key services, such as reporting crimes and traffic incidents as well as a further 33 community-based services ranging from obtaining a good-conduct certificate to social support for victims of family violence.

At the Command and Control Centre the delegation was briefed on latest services and initiatives that enhance security and safety in the emirate.

They also learned about the centre’s equipment and latest additions such as the 3D map that covers Dubai and the patrols dispatching system that ensures swift and efficient response to reports and emergency calls.

They also toured General Directorate of Traffic and the General Department of Criminal Investigation were they listened to presentations on practices and services provided by the Departments in combating organised and financial transnational crimes and other topics of mutual interests.

Toward the end of the visit, Minister Kazembe praised Dubai Police's utilization of the latest technologies.
