A man, who claimed to be an accommodation agent and disappeared with the complainant’s money after advertising on social media that he had two rooms to rent, will appear in court for bail application.
Onward Nyasha Chamwaura, of Glen View 1, appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi, at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with fraud.
The State, through prosecutor Thomas Chanakira, alleges that on November 17, Chamwaura, claimed to be an accommodation and advertised a two-bedroomed house for rental in Belvedere.
He allegedly asked the complainant to deposit US$483 into his InnBucks account. Chamwaura vanished with the money without showing the complainant the houses he had advertised.
Chamwaura will appear in court today for bail application.
