The ruling Zanu PF has scheduled the party’s politburo meeting for today in the afternoon while the central committee is due to meet at the party’s headquarters in Harare on Thursday.
The Zanu PF politburo is the highest decision-making organ in the party outside congress.
“The Acting Secretary General Comrade Patrick Chinamasa notifies all members that there shall be a Politburo Meeting tomorrow 13th December at 1400 hrs at Zanu PF Headquarters. This will be followed by a central Committee meeting on Thursday the 14th of December at 1000 hrs at the same venue,” reads the meeting notice from Zanu PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa.
