Mwonzora confirms renting out rooms at party HQ

President of the Movement for Democratic Change, Douglas Mwonzora has confirmed the rumours from an X user of his party renting out rooms at Morgan Richard Tsvangirai House, formerly Harvest House, the party’s headquarters.

The confirmation by Mwonzora came as a response to X user, Pedzisai Ruhanya who had posted accusing Mwonzora of destroying the movement by renting out the headquarters to a Chinese Department store, while the other side was a tuckshop.

One Nehemiah Madziva also an X user, claimed that the other part is rented to a brothel.

In a statement on X, Mwonzora replying to these claims said that Ruhanya and other trolls have been lying through desperation, hate and clownish, while not denying that they are renting it out but rather only two rooms.

“Yet exactly the same two rooms started being rented out under Tsvangirai. They were rented out when Chamisa was president of MDC. Records exist,” Mwonzora posted.

The MDC T leader has been clarifying a number of issues to do with his party, with various allegations of not paying party workers, failing to pay electricity bills and now renting out the party headquarters among the issues levelled against him.
