“Hakuna chimwe chinhu chiri kudiwa, pakuda munhu,” are lyrics which resonate with many young people and even a number of the older generation.

The song by Sorah TMB, which features Saintfloew was last year’s anthem in December and has garnered about 1.1 million views on YouTube

Speaking to Zim Now, the man behind the hit, Sorah TMB, whose real name is Blessed Kudarawanda, said he is grateful for the support of his fans as an upcoming artist and shares how the feature came about.

“I met Saintfloew at No Limits where I recorded the song and Jamal told me that the person best for the song was Saintfloew.

“He recorded his verse and it became a hit. It was overwhelming and it is a blessing for me. In December, the song was the number one song and I’m grateful for that because for me it is an achievement,” he explained.

Sorah said he has always loved music since childhood but he only started recording in 2015.

“I have always been interested in music, as I was growing up, I started recording and it started as a hobby but my interests really grew and I began taking it more seriously.

“I have a lot of songs that I have already recorded that I would like to share,” he says.

The musician says he is inspired in his music by old school legends like Thomas Mapfumo, John Chibadura, Marshall Munhumumwe because you their music was original.

“I hope to collaborate with some international artists like Victony and Omah Lay and Yemi Alade and locally, I am willing to work with any artist who is interested,” he added.

He added that if there would be more financial assistance for upcoming artists in the country,

“We have many talented musicians but we do not have a lot of international artists that we can talk about despite the talent.

“As an upcoming artist, I am not yet financially stable and it is one of the difficulties that I am facing right now. I have music that is unreleased right now and I would like to have sponsors to push my music.

“It’s more beneficial to be united in the music industry rather than be against each other. We can do more together than apart.

“Our industry has a long way to go and we have many talented artists who have the potential to become international musicians like Nutty O and Freeman.

“We have a lot of talent that can do great if they could also get financial assistance,” Sorah said.

He also tapped into industry grudges, which he said is also an issue which prevents the industry from growing.

Sorah said artists should work together more without working against each other.

“I am currently working in new music but I can’t review more information but definitely there is something new coming,” he added.
