French businessman Bernard Arnault has reclaimed the World’s Richest Person title from South African-born billionaire Elon Musk

Bernard Arnault is World’s richest man again

Forbes reports that Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton CEO, Bernard Arnault has reclaimed his title as World’s Richest Person sending South African-born billionaire Elon Musk to second place, again.

The LVMH CEO’s family’s net worth grew to US$207.8 billion (R390 billion) after an increase of US$23.6 billion (R443 billion). This allowed Arnault to reclaim the spot from Tesla, SpaceX and X CEO Elon Musk. Musk’s net worth is currently slightly lower atUS $204.5 billion (R383 billion). This is a result of Musk struggling in the stock market, having dropped 13%.

  • Arnault is the chairman, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) – which is the world’s largest luxury goods company.
  • According to the Bloomber Billionaire’s Index, the billionaires wealth predominantly stems from his 97.5% stake in Christian Dior, which controls an estimated 41% of LVMH.
  • The billionaire has been married twice – Anne Dewavrin from 1979 – 1990. The pair have two children together – Antoine and Delphine. In 1991, Arnault married Hélène Mercier. The pair have three children together Alexandre, Frédéric and Jean.
  • He is a father of five.
  • Arnault was born in France.
