Marlon Balaka, 27, of Glen Norah A, appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with murder.

The State alleges that on December 7, 2023, at around 0330 hours the accused persons and their accomplice who are already in custody went to steal from the now deceased’s workplace.
They allegedly went to Chitubu Council Bar, Glen Norah, Harare armed with knives.
When they got there, they allegedly scaled over a pre-cast wall and entered the premises.
They met the now-deceased inside, who was a security guard at the premises, and confronted him but he resisted.

The now-deceased screamed for help and started vomiting blood from his mouth and was assisted by informant, Natashe Martin Phiri, who was sleeping at the front of a bar.
Phiri took the now-deceased to the hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The information was pursued, leading to the arrest of Balaka's accomplices.
