Shamva-based Premier Soccer League side, Simba Bhora are working round the clock to ensure Wadzanai Stadium is ready to host PSL matches when the season kicks off on March 9.
Simba Bhora, who are in their second season in the top-flight football last season, have been steadily working on Wadzanai Stadium to ensure it is approved to host PSL matches.
This comes after enduring a tough season in which Simba Bhora played all their matches away from home last year.
“We are almost 90 plus percent to meet the requirements thereof, we have heard on the specific areas to touch on in regards to the completion. As we speak, the changing rooms - which I believe are one of the best - are almost complete, the terraces are done and the bucket seats will be mounted starting today for VIP and with that, I believe we will be ready before the season begins,” said Simba Bhora club spokesperson, Charles Nyatsime.
The 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season has been delayed, with the PSL hoping that more stadiums would have been approved to host top-flight matches by March 9.
A statement released by the PSL this Monday indicated that the league wants to ensure that the country has safe, secure and adequate venues to host matches.
The First Instance Board is, however, yet to announce the homologated venues.
