Duo nabbed for Zesa cable theft

Two Harare men, Tafadzwa Magara, 28, and Justice Vhatera have been arrested following allegations of theft of armoured cables.

The two were intercepted by police while digging the Zesa cables along Craster Road in Southerton where they were arrested.

Posting on X, Police confirmed the recovery of a mattock, shovel among other things upon the arrest.

“Police acted on received information and intercepted the suspects who were digging Zesa armoured cables along Craster Road, Southerton, Harare.

“The arrest of the suspects led to the recovery of a mattock, shovel, hack-saw, a pair of pliers, screw driver, three knives and catapult,” police said.
