Zimbabwean star Khama Billiat appears to be rediscovering his scoring touch after a difficult end to his South African adventure. Billiat, who recently signed with Yadah FC after leaving Kaizer Chiefs, made a substitute appearance in his league debut two weeks ago but left his mark despite the 1-0 loss to Hwange FC.
The 33-year-old came on with 15 minutes remaining and nearly snatched a dramatic equaliser with a powerful free-kick that rattled the crossbar. Billiat’s hunger for goals continued this week in a friendly match against visiting Mozambican champions Club Ferroviario da Beira. The forward impressed yet again, bagging a brace before halftime to lead Yadah to a 2-1 victory.”
According to sources close to Billiat, the attacker is putting in the extra effort to recapture his peak form and is buoyed by the warm reception he’s received back home in Zimbabwe.
“He’s in very good form,” revealed the source to iDiski Times. "He almost scored on debut and has hit the ground running in training. The confidence s back, he feels the love from the fans, and he's working very hard."
Billiat’s resurgence will be a welcome sight for Yadah FC and Zimbabwean football fans alike. The forward’s experience and goal-scoring prowess could be a game-changer for Yadah in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League and potentially reignite his international career with the Warriors.
