Delta Corporation, a leading Zimbabwean beverage company, announced a continuation of its commitment to education by awarding bursaries to 100 students at a ceremony held at the Mandel Training Centre on April 4, 2024.

The bursary programme, valued at nearly US$100 000 annually, supports A Level and university students facing financial challenges.  This year's beneficiaries were selected in collaboration with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.

“Delta Corporation aspires for a Better World by contributing to the communities we operate in,” said Patricia Kudzai Murambinda, Delta Corporation General Manager – Corporate Affairs.

“We believe in a brighter, better, thriving, and growing society, and today's bursary announcement exemplifies this commitment.”

The long-standing programme has benefited over 1 200 students with a total investment exceeding US$2 million.

“We have a total of 100 students benefiting from the programme this year,” said Murambinda.

“These students will receive support from A Level up to university.”

Delta Corporation’s educational initiatives extend beyond bursaries. The Delta Technical Institute focuses on developing skilled artisans for the company, with over 1 500 graduates finding employment within the organisation. Additionally, the Mandel Training Centre offers management training programmes for graduates.

Murambinda addressed the students directly, encouraging them to seize this opportunity. “Please take this investment as a pillar of inspiration,” she said.

“The value of the bursary should challenge you to work hard academically and contribute to the development of your communities.”
