The Zimbabwe Women Soccer league will not be kicking off this weekend due to compliance reasons.

Some teams have not finished the registration of players because of the newly-introduced FIFA Connect, submitted club constitutions, structures and paid affiliation fees.

In a letter signed by the interim league chairperson, Theresa Maguraushe, a constitution is being ratified together with the rules and regulations.

“We are writing to inform you that due to compliance requirements reasons, our league kick off dates have been moved from the 13th of April 2024 to a later date which will be communicated in due course.

“This is to allow clubs to meet the requirements listed below while at the same time allowing the ratification of the league’s constitution and its Rules and Regulations.

“We are all urged to treat this as a matter of urgency.

“We apologise for the inconveniences which might have been caused by the postponement,” Maguraushe stated.

She also said that no club will be allowed to participate before meeting all the requirements.
