A man who was arrested on charges of using another’s car without his consent been denied bail.

Tinashe Muchetu, appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with using a car without the owners’ consent.

He will appear in court on April 30 for bail application.

The complainant in this matter is Jimmy Jeke, 33.

The State alleges that on March 28, in the CBD, Muchetu hired Jeke’s Nissan Note for four days and later extended to April 13 after an agreement.

It is alleged that without paying for the arrears of US$165, Muchetu did not respond to Jeke’s calls and went to on to use his car from April 14 to 27, without his consent.

It is alleged that Muchetu took advantage that Jeke’s car did not have a tracker.

On April 26, he then decided to meet Jeke and went to his workplace, leading Jeke to file a police report.
