An unidentified man was killed in a hit-and-run road traffic accident which occurred at the intersection of Cripps Road and Seke Road, Harare on Thursday evening.
A Faw tanker with registration number AFJ 6500 with no passengers on board hit the victim who was crossing the road.
Police confirmed the incident on X,
“Police in Mbare are investigating a fatal road traffic accident which occurred at the intersection of Cripps Road and Seke Road, Harare on 09/05/24 at around 1700 hours in which a yet to be identified male adult died.
“The victim sustained fractured ribs and died on the spot. The body of the victim was taken to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem,” police said.
In a similar incident, police in Harare are investigating a serious road traffic accident, which occurred at the intersection of Simon Mazorodze Road and Remembrance Drive, Harare on Thursday afternoon.
