A 40-year-old man, Russel Goreraza, appeared before Concession Magistrates’ Courts over failure to comply with a maintenance order.
Circumstances are that on January 14, 2024, Goreraza – who is former first lady Grace Mugabe’s son - appeared before the Concession Magistrates’ Court and was ordered to pay US$2 500 or ZWL equivalent at the prevailing inter-bank rate per month as maintenance for his child.
Goreraza allegedly defaulted payment from the month of January to March.
He owed US$7 500 as of 31 March, 2024.
Goreraza, who appeared as a self-actor, requested a postponement to seek legal representation, and the matter was remanded to May 28, 2024.
