Pamela Rusere, the former girlfriend of Philip Chiyangwa, is allegedly wanted in South Africa for allegedly murdering her boyfriend and stealing his car.
Rusere is accused of stabbing David Crawford to death last year and fleeing the country with his vehicle and her two children. The children are now at a boarding school near Harare.
South African authorities issued a warrant for her arrest in September 2023, and Interpol has placed her on a Red Notice. She is suspected of having passports from Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Malawi.
The investigation is being led by Sergeant Trom Kwanda Kuhle of the Midrand Police Station in South Africa (case number 7604/2023).
This news comes amid a past legal battle between Rusere and Chiyangwa over child maintenance. In 2020, Rusere demanded R49,172 per term for school fees and R39,450 monthly for groceries. Chiyangwa contested the amount and argued he was already paying maintenance. He also accused Rusere of using the children to extract more money and claimed she had two other children from another relationship.
Previously, Chiyangwa's ex-wife, Elizabeth Juma, was awarded 85% of their marital wealth and $85,000 monthly maintenance after their 30-year marriage ended in 2018
