At least seven people have been left injured in a road traffic accident involving two commuter omnibuses at corner Second Street and Herbert Chitepo.
A pirating Toyota Hiace kombi entered the intersection against the red light, leading to a collision with other vehicles before it overturned once.
According to eye witnesses at the scene, the kombi was speeding trying to beat an amber robot, whereupon it collided head on with another private kombi.
Seven people on board in the kombi were injured and ferried to a close by hospital for medical attention.
Several other vehicles also collided into each other as a result of the incident.
More details to follow as police attended the scene.
