Michael Mashiri

Bad blood between a man and his adult son boiled over when the son ignored an existing legal order to stay away,, scaled a gate and disturbed his father's peace.

Andrew Saiti, 33, of Murimbomunhu Street in Harare, appeared before magistrate Apollonia Marutya charged with failure to comply with conditions of a Protection Order.

The complainant in this matter is Leornard Saiti, 60.

The State alleges that on May 7, 2024, at Harare Civil Court, Andrew was given an order that he does not insult, harass Leornard and not to enter number 119 Fife Avenue where Leornard resides and works.

The court was informed that on July 4, Andrew went to Leornard's residence, jumped the gate.

He allegedly started insulting Leonard shouting at him and banged the dining door.

Leonard then reported the matter, leading to Andrew's arrest who also has a pending case where he is supposed to pay a fine.

He was remanded in custody.
