The newly-rebranded Heart Women Premier League is set to resume this weekend after a two-week hiatus. The league, formerly known as the Women Premier Soccer League, has secured a new title sponsor and will now be known as the Heart Women Soccer League.
The action-packed weekend kicks off with a tantalizing clash between log leaders Black Rhinos and Black Mambas at the Heart Stadium. Second-placed Chapungu have a seemingly easier task against struggling ZRP Harare at Manyame.
MSU Queens and Hope Academy, both facing challenges this season, will be hoping for a much-needed win when they face off. Conduit Soccer Academy will be looking to maintain their momentum against Correctional Queens.
In other matches, Highlanders Royals will take on Maningi Youth Academy at Highlanders Sports Club, while Sheasham Gweru will host Faith Drive at Bata Stadium. The battle of the Cities will see Harare City face off against Mutare City. Herentals, however, will be inactive due to their participation in the CAF Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers.
As the league enters the second half of the season, the competition is expected to intensify, with teams vying for top honors
