Zimbabwe Golf Association donates kit to Banda

The Zimbabwe Golf Association on Thursday donated golf kit equipment to one of the Zimbabwe Special Olympics athletes, Andrew Banda.

The generous action is to appreciate the partnership with the special athletes and which will make a big impact on the disabilities.

The National Director of the Olympics expressed gratitude for the gesture and partnership made by ZGA for promoting and raising the banner of the special golfers.

"We want to consolidate our relationship and. We offer many sport disciplines.We have golfers in Harare, Mutare, Kwekwe and we want to take it to the grassroots".

Musati also appreciated the donations offered by the Zimbabwe Golf Association to Banda.

"Inclusivity is our goal.We thank you for the generous action for this young athlete. It is through passion , talent we are all here to achieve their goals".

She also stated that partnership like these helps to move forward and make others join in raising the associate flag and disabilities manage to get into other sporting.

Golf Union vice president, Justice Udzembe felt honoured of offering help to the Olympics athlete and for answering their request.

“Individuals and associations are there to drive sport and we challenged other provinces that are here to identify those that can play golf.

“We need to put our hands together for this partnership or union to be a successful.”

He expressed his excitement and appreciated the ZGA for coming through and players for reaching out.

Udzembe added that the provision of equipment to the athlete will make a great impact and improvement.

“It is certification for Banda to make it to greater heights through practising with the equipment.”

He also encouraged him to keep on progressing behind the scenes.
