The Zimbabwean national football team, the Warriors, are set to embark on a crucial doubleheader in East Africa, facing Kenya on Friday and Cameroon four days later.

A 18-member delegation, including nine locally-based players and the technical team led by new coach Michael Nees, departed Harare for Kampala on Sunday afternoon.

The squad features a mix of experienced and emerging talent, including the recently returned Khama Billiat, Walter Musona, Brian Banda, and Andrew Mbeba.

Foreign-based players are expected to join the team in Kampala today, after their weekend matches with their respective clubs.

Murwira, who captained his club to a draw on Saturday, joined the team just before departure, while Jalai and Donovan had to miss their club matches to be part of the squad.

Unfortunately, Plymouth Argyle defender Brendan Galloway has been ruled out of the trip due to a hamstring injury.

The Warriors will face Kenya on Friday in a crucial match, followed by a clash against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. Both games are crucial for Zimbabwe's qualification hopes for the upcoming African Cup of Nations tournament.
