
The Zimbabwe national football team could receive a timely boost ahead of the upcoming four-nation international tournament in Botswana following the return to form of vice-captain Marshall Munetsi after recovering from injury.
Zimbabwe is set to participate in the regional competition scheduled for 23 to 31 March, and Munetsi’s recent performances at club level have reignited optimism among supporters who believe the midfielder can play a key role if selected for the Warriors squad.
Munetsi recovered from an injury he sustained during his time with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, which briefly sidelined h his availability for both club and country.
However, the midfielder bounced back strongly and is currently having a good run of form at Paris FC, where he has scored three goals in his last three matches.
Football follower Michel Chadya , on Facebook said Munetsi’s comeback from injury and current form could be a big advantage for the Warriors.

“It’s encouraging to see Munetsi back and performing well again. A player who can score and control the midfield like he does can really strengthen the Warriors,” Chadya said.
Another supporter, Wilson Makare , said the midfielder’s recent displays show he is ready to contribute again at international level.
“When a player comes back from injury and quickly finds form like Munetsi has done, it shows his quality and determination. If he gets the chance, he can bring energy and experience to the team,” Makare said.
Another football supporter, Tawanda Chari, also welcomed the midfielder’s return in good form, saying his leadership qualities could be important for the squad.
“Munetsi has always been one of the players who leads by example on the pitch. Seeing him scoring again is a positive sign for the Warriors as they prepare for the tournament,” Chari said.
