A 38-year-old man has appeared in court for allegedly defrauding a company of US$3,600 by falsely claiming he could install a 600-meter fence.
Stepheni Pedzi appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts facing fraud charges.
Prosecutors allege that on December 18, 2024, at Suit 108, Friern House, No. 7 Speke Avenue in Harare, Pedzi misrepresented to Sixspeed Tech Systems Private Limited that he could install 600 meters of Diamond Mesh wire with three lines of barbed wire on top in Zvishavane.
However, he allegedly lacked the capacity to fulfill the job.
As a result, the company suffered a financial loss of US$3 600.
The matter is before the courts.
