Australia’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe meets Speaker of Parliament to strengthen bilateral ties

 

 

 

ZBC News Online- Australia’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Ms Minoli Perera, paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Parliament, Honourable Jacob Mudenda at the Parliament of Zimbabwe in Mount Hampden this Thursday.

Their discussions focused on fostering economic development and tourism between the two nations.

Ambassador Perera expressed her appreciation for the strong bilateral ties between Australia and Zimbabwe, which have been in place since Zimbabwe gained independence in 1980.

Australia donated dispatch boxes to the Parliament of Zimbabwe back then, facilitating the sharing of parliamentary debates with Britain.

This meeting highlighted the ongoing efforts to strengthen relations between Australia and Zimbabwe, building on their shared history and cooperation in various sectors.
