Masimirembwa Proposes Kudakwashe Tagwirei for ZANU-PF Central Committee

The ZANU-PF Harare Provincial Coordinating Committee has unanimously recommended the co-option of prominent businessman Kudakwashe Tagwirei into the party’s Central Committee. 

Cde Godwills Masimirembwa, ZANU-PF Harare Provincial Chairperson, confirmed the resolution, stating that Tagwirei—a strategic business leader and party member in Harare Metropolitan Province—was proposed by Central Committee members for his visionary leadership. The recommendation will now be forwarded to the party’s Secretary General, Dr. Obert Mpofu, for further action 

Deputy Secretary for Economic Affairs Cde Andy Mhlanga emphasized the importance of integrating successful entrepreneurs like Tagwirei into ZANU-PF structures to advance economic empowerment, aligning with the government’s Vision 2030 goals. The move was also endorsed by the party’s wings, citing Tagwirei’s longstanding support for ZANU-PF initiatives.  

The decision was reached during a PCC meeting held on Monday at the party’s Harare offices, where key provincial and national issues were discussed.  

The meeting also addressed upcoming by-elections in Glenview South Constituency, where Tsitsi Tawomhera will represent the party, and reviewed disciplinary actions against suspended members.
