One of Zimbabwe’s most spiritually impactful gospel events is back—Inspired Worship 2025—and this year, it's returning bigger, deeper, and better than ever.
Hosted by renowned gospel musician Tembalami, the conference will take place over two days, 8 and 9 August, at Celebration Centre in Borrowdale.
First launched in 2022, Inspired Worship began as a one-day event held during a deeply emotional time in Tembalami’s life.
“I had just lost my dad, but I still had to show up,” he recalls. “Worship is not about convenience—it’s about obedience.”
That moment of resilience planted the seed for what has now grown into a full-scale worship and training experience that is drawing attention across the gospel music and church landscape.
The expanded 2025 edition kicks off on Friday, 8 August, with a series of masterclasses targeting church worship teams, musicians, sound technicians, and worship leaders. The aim is clear—to uplift the standard of worship ministry in Zimbabwe and beyond.
“Worship takes up half of the church service,” says Tembalami. “We can’t afford not to invest in it. Equipping worship teams has been on my heart for years.”
The masterclasses will offer training in songwriting, worship leading, band and choir dynamics, sound, lighting, and video production
At its core, Inspired Worship is more than just an annual gathering—it’s a movement to restore excellence, purpose, and depth to the ministry of worship.
It offers an opportunity for churches and individuals alike to rethink how they approach worship, to be inspired by those who have gone ahead, and to build capacity for future generations of worshippers.
Whether you're a worship leader, sound technician, choir member, or simply someone passionate about worship and the presence of God—Inspired Worship 2025 is the place to be.
Participants will learn from some of the most respected names in the gospel music and ministry scene, including Janet Manyowa, Michael Mahendere, Takesure Zamar, and South Africa-based sound engineer Remember Chaitezvi. These experts will share insights gained from their ministries and hit songs such as Zadzisa, Kuregerera in Advance, and Messiah.
The weekend culminates in a power-packed concert on Saturday, 9 August, featuring a lineup of some of the nation’s most loved gospel voices. Attendees can look forward to performances by Nyasha Mutonhori, Janet Manyowa, Takesure Zamar, Pastor Bonnie Deuschle, Minister Michael Mahendere, and Joyful Praise Choir—and, of course, Tembalami himself.
“These are not just talented artists—they’re friends and fellow ministers who carry a deep heart for worship,” Tembalami shared.
The concert promises to be a powerful night of praise, unity, and spiritual encounter, celebrating Zimbabwe’s rich gospel music heritage.
